  1. And he is forever immune from prostitution…oops prosecution. My bad

  2. If our country (certainly all the clowns that voted for that idiot year after year) had any sanity left, the Lollipop Cowboy would have been dragged out of the Capitol wearing his lingerie years ago. Reelect him every two years since 1980?? Are you kidding me?? No wonder we as a once proud nation are circling the drain.

  3. Believe me when I tell you Frank, a hockey puck hurts way more!

  4. Who’s worse, The “Banking Queen” or Ms Walters his soon to be replacement.

  5. I didn’t know Frank wore contacts…

  6. so many comments. so few know what they are talking about.

    • Any connection between Emer Fudd leaving the day after they find out about “secret bank bailouts” that earned the banks a net 13MM, most likely due to jacked up FDIC stop-loss agreements like the one with Indymac???

  7. Isn’t it ironic that both Dodd and Frank are retiring after pushing that p.o.s. Financial Reform Bill down our throats? Newt Gingrich is right; we need to repeal that piece of crap IN ITS ENTIRETY! Good riddance to both of those liberal idiots.

To Frank and Brian – there’s never a reason for someone to get hit in the head while playing racquetball. If you don’t know how to play, stay the hell off the courts!

  8. Frank says he does not know why people line up for many hours to save a few bucks on some junk. Many years ago, I worked for a large mortgage broker, as a Loan Officer. I took my processor to lunch to show my appreciation for her work. At the time, she was about 20, and I was about 24. I decided to give her some older brotherly advice. I told her she needs to stop spending her money on endless cheap garbage, and start savings. She said something to me that affects me to this day: She said: “I feel so poor, and feel that I would never get anywhere financially, that I would spend every penny I have to buy junk, just to make me feel happy for a short while”.
Amazing…but something to think about, when we think about consumer spending in this country.

  9. GOOD BYE!!!!!!!! AND GOOD RIDDANCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  10. Being moderately positioned in the political spectrum leaning slightly right if any I am saddened by the reality that so many in the middle or right will likely never give Congressman Frank any credit for his service. I carry no water for Barney Frank, we were often on opposite ends of the debate, I will however thank him for his service while assuming he served with honorable intent. If our political debate continues to focus on the distruction of the “other side” this will serve only to weaken an already substantially weakend nation.

    • Barney Frank minimized the risk to the economy from risky lending when Congress was in a position to do something about it. At the time the Bush administration was trying to curtail Fannie and Freddie, Congress blocked every attempt. Given Mr. Frank’s powerful position he certainly contributed to the financial crisis and subsequent legislation he authored hindered a recovery. Whatever his intent was is meaningless, the best thing he’s ever done for this Country is retire.

Rep. Barney Frank (D., Mass.): “The more people, in my judgment, exaggerate a threat of safety and soundness, the more people conjure up the possibility of serious financial losses to the Treasury, which I do not see. I think we see entities [Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac] that are fundamentally sound financially and withstand some of the disaster scenarios.” December 2003

  11. Frank said the reson he is leaving is re-districting. Funny gerrymandering (redistricting for his benefit) is how he got in. Today is a good day!

  12. The reason why he is leaving is because he has already do all the damage he can do, and the Reps control the House. He is essentially powerless.

He is a perfect example of the Liberal mindset, He will take no responsibility whatsoever for his mistakes.

    It’s obviously all Bush’s fault.

    Randy

  13. I will be mailing Bwaney Fwank a wild Gerbil for his going away party! May the gerbil treat Bwaney’s arse like a piranha would a goldfish!

  14. The killer in Norway looks a lot like Brian from a side view….Interesting….

  15. Too bad that turkey didn’t quit 4 years ago. Our industry might not have been so screwed up if he did. Next is that other turkey, Chris Dodd. But the troubling thing is that the damage is done. Everybody in the Mortgage Brokering business now belongs to the NFL No Fun Lending.

  16. Google ‘Barney Frank scandal’. Thank god that bum is finally out.

  17. Your comment saying who cares who replaces Barney…..Well….I understand Maxine Waters (D Ca) is the next in line and if you think Barney was a problem Maxine is the most LEFT wing Socialist now in the Dem Party. This ain’t over yet.

  18. I live in his district…… The good news is that he is gone. The bad news is the damage is already done.
We nearly got him thrown out last time when he only received 53% of the vote. This same district also elected Scott Brown a Republican who is going to face wait for it….. Elizabeth Warren in the next election.
    Oh Shit.

  19. I have had the ‘ding dong the witch is dead’ song in my head from the moment I heard the news that Barney is retiring! I can think of several instances dating back to the Clinton administration where Barney’s antics placed us on the track to the demise of the entire real estate market. Is it solely his fault? No. He is, however, the poster child of what drove us down this path of destruction. Noble cause (getting people in homes) but epic failure (fog a mirror, get a loan) and now the pendulum is on the other extreme and good people can’t get loans. Maybe we can get Dodd-Frank overturned and get some meaningful reform started (reform, not more regulation). BUT we all know it’s all about getting re-elected so the posturing continues. Term limits, anyone???

  20. I promoted a Cyber Monday $2,900 closing cost credit for an accepted contract closing by Dec. 31. I utilized Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn as well as Zillow. I still need to get the video out. Feel free to spread the word!

  21. Dodd/Frank is not going to be overturned as a single piece of legislation. The Dems have done a good job of getting the public to drink the kool-aid over the whole idea of “Consumer Protection.” Afterall, banks are not exactly real popular right now. Just take a look at the “occupy” movement going on right now. Clearly, it is made up of naive kids, but their sentiment is shared by the majority of the public to some extent or another. Instead, the Republicans are going to chip away at Dodd/Frank slowly and out of the public eye. For anything to happen in a big way, the Republicans are going to have to get back control of the Senate and the White House. Does anyone think that Obama is going to sign any legislation that repeals one of the high lights of his first term? Get real. That’s just wishful thinking.

  22. If you think that Dodd and Frank will be replaced by “conservatives”, you have a second think needed and coming…It is HIGHLY likely that Elizabeth Warren will replace Scott Brown, Frank will be replaced by another Peoples’ Republic liberal and Dodd has already been replaced by a liberal opportunists. Blumenthal was the AG and dove into a Chapter 11 for the old MLN conduit and forced the DISORDERLY LIQUIDATION of MLN. They just packed up tons of files in boxes and put them into storage in no particular order and to this day it is difficult, if not impossible, to determine the real owners of MLN loans. GREAT JOB, BLUMENTHAL!!! You will frequently see Wells Fargo/ASC foreclosing a loan with the plaintiff being “Deutsche Bank as Trustee” with no known security…yup, security unknown!!! A Foreclosure Defense Lawyers dream come TRUE!!!.

SO-O-O!!! Be careful what you wish for, you just might get someone even worse than the predecessor!!!!

Besides, there is no feasible way to put Humpty Dumpty back back on the wall, let a lone get him put back together again!!! Get use to a new world order and learn to live with it…it is the way it will be!!!

    G. Arthur Joy

  23. I would have rather seen Barney go down in flames, no pun intended, in an election. Or rather, think of all the people who go to jail for manslaughter, reckless behavior leading to a person’s death, what can we charge Barney with for killing the lives-lihood of so many?

    • Barney Frank is a mean spirited person. His forcable fornication of the housing industry is proof. His utter disregard of the lives of his fellow Americans makes him a pariah. He is laughing at us all now. He will retire in the style of live he has grown accutomed too, with his congressional pension, free top notch health care and the ill gotten gains of 30 years in congress. In the mean time litteraly millions of Americans are now forced to live in privation. Their belief in the American dream dashed so a single congressman can satisfy his ego. Shame on him and all those who voted for him….year after year after year.

  24. you should have slapped him in the face..:)

    • Why were you not wearing gogles, and if you were, where is the bruise?
I was an avid raquetball player and the donuts I wore…..ouch!
      I feel your pain…..NOT…lol
      Great job on Franks!

  25. Love the Cyber Home Sales idea! Here’s a great idea I have had Realtors use. Have the sellers go and get some samples of flooring, countertops, paint, etc. Place the samples on the counter and then make up a sign that says, “You Choose”. I had several Realtors do this and sell homes that have been sitting on the market for months. How is this possible? The 203k Streamlined Loan. A great FHA loan that combines the cost of the home along with the cost of repairs. Up to $35k is available and many repairs are allowed. That’s my marketing tip!

  26. Is it possible that Maxine Waters will become head of the department? The Peter Principle at work in government once again.

    • Maxine “Liberal” Waters of the “Guess what this Member will be all about socializ…. ah um ah um ah um taking over …”

Yes she would be the next Dem in line to take Barney Frank’s position.

      • I’ve got to think that some of the very powerful Dem leaders are shaking at the thought of Maxine Waters becoming the Dem leader on this committee. Think of the power this commitee has and think of the past statements of Maxine Waters. I think we should start considering what country to move to.

  27. Me? I’m going to miss Barney. Like him or not, he was intelligent and understood how the GSE’s work. They are talking about Maxine Waters as his replacement….now we’ve got a problem.

  28. Chris Dodd gone, Barney Frank on the way out. That is great news. But then I think of the sports equivalent to the aforementioned scumballs…John Calipari and Pete Carroll, who screwed up at UMass/Memphis and USC respectively, and were punished with lucrative deals at their next stop.

  29. Thank the Lord

  30. HOORAY … Baloney Franks is retiring. One of the most destructive idiots in congress. Too bad the announcement is thirty years to late. There really should be a competency test, background check, and physic evaluation of all persons serving congress on a yearly basis.

    • How about a morality test. Getting caught with a male prostitue did’nt shame him out of office. He’ll get away with everything he has done. Come visit Boston and at least we’ll egg his house.
